The UD Condor is a line of medium-duty commercial truck manufactured by UD Trucks, first introduced in 1975. The range of UD Condor trucks was primarily available in other big-size and mid-size trucks. Most mid-size and big-size models of the truck are distinguishable by a front 'Condor' badge, but the common Nissan Diesel or UD badge is usually used on the rear. The UD Condor principal competitors are Bering MD, Mitsubishi Fuso FK, Chevrolet W-Series, GMC W-Series, and the Isuzu F-Series. Its Japanese market competitors are Mitsubishi Fuso Fighter, Isuzu Forward, and Hino Ranger. In 2011 a new generation Condor MK/LK was introduced, and from now on the UD name is used in all markets, rather than Nissan Diesel.

The UD Condor is popular throughout the world for its durability and versatile loading capacity. Also renowned for its safety and strength, each generation of the Ud Condor offers a variety of load capacities from 4-tonne to 12-tonne along with a choice of either automatic or manual transmissions.

The Condor not only allows for the safe and sturdy transportation of heavy commercial goods but also offers a roomy and comfortable cabin for the driver. Although primarily focused on durability as opposed to added features, most Nissan/UD Condor models include the standard features of power steering, power windows, air conditioning, safety airbags, and ABS.

Generations of UD Condor Trucks

 

First Generation (1975–1983)

In 1975:- The first Condor truck appeared in 1975. Two types of engine ED6 (a swirl chamber) and FD6T (a direct injection, with turbo). Turbo engine car is referred to as the "Condor GF", it had been standard equipped with power steering and cooler.

In 1979:- The Condor truck was minor changed from ED6 to FD6, from emissions regulations, cab design is also changed.

In 1981:- The Condor truck was changed to new "NISSAN DIESEL" emblem in the front part is changed. The Condor truck 6 of 6t product class was also released. Engraved "UD" was found in the center portion of the front wheel in the Condor primary.

 

Second Generation (1983–1993)

In 1983:- The second generation of UD Condor truck launched in 1983 following emissions compliance. Changes the engine FE6 type in some improvement in 1984.

In 1988:- UD Condor truck minor changed to the front grille, with Condor S was added, and in 1989 it introduces ABS.

In 1990:- The first year of Heisei emissions compliance on its Condor range.

 

Third Generation (1993–2011)

In 1993:- The third generation of the UD Condor truck range was introduced as the Fine Condor, and in 1994 it added four-wheel-drive (4WD) package. Minor changes included exhaust emission regulations in 1994 and in 1995 the Condor SS ultra-lightweight specifications was added. In addition, the CNG vehicles on its Condor range, and soon after.

In 1997:- It added PW (with 10 tons) and a short cab Condor Z, does similar to Condor S is out of print and accordingly. Also the same year, It adopted a shock absorbing steering. Low-floor four-wheel-drive (4WD) was also added. From a 1998 exhaust emission regulations in 1999 other than 10-ton Condor PW.

In 2000:- The Allison 5-speed steel automatic transmission and setting the vehicles added in the Condor range. On 15 March the MK series features a carbon fiber composite material using a wing body and set the vehicle. Weight of 250 kg is attained as compared with the conventional aluminum wing vehicle and achieve maximum loading capacity 4000 kg.

In 2000:- It minor changed Previously adopted the inverted trapezoidal large front grille, which is employed in the CNG trucks. In addition to the wide-cabin trucks, new standard cabin truck is added, ABS and driver's seat SRS on all models the airbag is equipped.

In 2008:- It improved a medium-sized license corresponding the GVW 11-ton truck was added.

 

Fourth generation (2010–2017)

In 2010:- It preceding of the original third generation announced the development of the 8-ton class model PK series from the fourth generation, following name its change to UD Trucks in February 2010. It was introduced in Japan. On 23 August 2010, the 9-ton PK series and 12-ton PW series were introduced while other models continue selling the third generation. On November 22 the new 8-ton PK series is added.

In 2011:- It upgraded MK series, with a 5 and 6 tons class and LK 4 ton class trucks equipped with the GH5 and GH7 engines.

 

Fifth generation (2017-present)

In 2017:- As part of its transition from UD Trucks to Isuzu, with the fifth generation, UD Condor truck is now rebadged version of the Isuzu Forward shared with different UD Trucks front fascia and new cab.

The UD Condor MK series truck features a carbon fiber composite material using a wing body and set the vehicle. Weight of 250 kg is attained as compared with the conventional aluminum wing body truck and achieve maximum loading capacity 4000 kg. It minor change came in May 2000, Previously adopted the inverted trapezoidal large front grille, which is employed in the CNG trucks. In July 2011 it upgraded MK series, with a 5 and 6 tons class and LK 4 ton class trucks equipped with the GH5 and GH7 engines.

The UD Condor PK Series truck is the fourth generation of UD Condor trucks. In April 2010, it preceding of the original third generation announced the development of the 8-ton class model PK series from the fourth generation. On November 22 the new 8-ton PK series is added to the UD Condor trucks lineup. At present the Condor PK series truck features an Air hydraulic combined type; Exhaust brake system, Emission Control System (ECS), Engine: 4HK1-TCH, Automated manual transmission (AMT) 6-speed MT Transmission and with loading capacity GVW 14.5 - 16Ton.

At present UD Condor PW series truck is available with 240-310 HorsePower, Air hydraulic combined type; Exhaust brake system, Emission Control System (ECS) with GVW 20Ton.
